After an extensive refurbishment taking several months, Ignition’s historic head office in the UK reopened on 1st February 2010.

Since the Summer of 2009 contractors were busy, with amongst other things, lowering the ground floor, inserting a new mezzanine level, moving the entrance and fitting new staircases, fixtures and fittings. While the building retains its classic exterior appearance, inside the office is barely recognisable with a modern combination of glass and solid oak throughout.

The new office layout is a more efficient use of the space, and has been designed around the requirements of staff and customers. It is provides an inspirational and constructive workplace for Ignition’s employees, with dedicated creative areas and meeting spaces.

Ignition’s head office is located in a historic location that dates back to 1650 and is one of the oldest brick-built buildings in Hertfordshire, UK. The new office design adds modern and efficient styling without compromising the existing look and character of the listed building.

The refurbishment represents an exciting step in Ignition’s development and the transformation will see the business through the next decade and beyond.
